Legendary NZ performer, the late great Dalvanius Prime discusses the making of 1984′s classic te-reo chart-topping single Poi E, where against all odds, Dalvanius recruited many of the Maori freezing-workers and others from small NZ town Patea to create an international smash hit. A work of pure genius and regarded these days as an absolute NZ classic, Poi E can be heard blasting from sports stadiums and the like, and is possibly the best-known favourite NZ recording of all time.
