The Howard Morrison Quartet were NZ’s first original band. Four Maori boys from the Bay Of Plenty that gave NZ audiences plenty to shout about, the quartet was led by irrepressible Howard Morrison and including the incomparable Gerry Merito as chief songwriter and guitarist.
