Whakamātauhia o Whakaaro means Explore Your Imagination.

This series of 3 network idents were conceived by Swedish creative extraordinaire Arvid Erikson, and were commisioned by Sheila Byrne, Head of Promo at Māori Television who brough Dan Mace in to realise the mystical world of the kids imagination.

Avid rough cut and once Dan had constructed and animated the world and the waka, he composited the kids in (shot on green) and graded. He designed all the props (constructed from latex by Mark Knight), and did the typography.

An awesome creative process and an award winning result – the campaign picked up a Promax BDA world gold trophy at the 2010 Awards.
